como instalar plugin-java de firefox

una de las cosas por la que casi la mayoria de la gente su come la uñas a la hora de instalar es el popular plugin-java para el firefox,
me incluyo por que yo pase lo mismo, bajandolo de la pagina oficial y es en verdad chido para instalar
pero la manera mas facil de instalar es, desde un terminal:
$sudo aptitude install sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
descargar y cuando termina ya tendremos instalado este plugind que se utiliza mayormente para entrar a los populares webchat escritos en java

en verdad soy novato, y he seguido al pie de la letra dos indicaciones que han salido en los foros y no solucioné nada,
lo siento se que soy novato pero las cosas ni siempre fucinan para todos igual pienso yo

luego escribe:
sudo apt-get update
y por ultimo
sudo aptitude install sun-java6-plugin sun-java6-fonts
suerte
quiero instalar el amule y algun java para ver videos!
pero no entiendo nada! y se me aparece para poner password y nose q poner y muchas cosasq no entiendo... si me podes ayudar te agredeceria muchoo!
